Iphone Apps Wont Work After Update

Help. iTunes is killing my devices?
How come they dont have a normal system restore like windows.
Where you can just role back to an earlier date?
My iPad started acting funny after the last update version 4.3.5 (8L1)
And many of the apps on it just won’t open like maxjornal and similar apps.
I want to return it to it’s previous version but it wont let me. As several of the programs currently on my iPad refuse to show up in the app section on my iTunes after syncing and I don’t want to erase them.
Not sure if it has anything to do with it.
But Every problem I’ve had with iTunes started when I bought a new computer to replace the old one,”both PC”
First it messed up my iPhone & now this.

As this is seriously compromising my work,
You will not lose any Apps as they can be downloaded from the App Store for free if you log in with the same account name/password. Have you checked the App Store for updates? MaxJournal was updated at the end of August to fix a crashing problem people were having.
Millions of people use Apple stuff all day every day without any problems.
