My Iphone Apps Dont Open
Posted by admin under Uncategorized on Sunday Sep 4, 2011Microsoft App. Store Opens To Developers
Microsoft has open the gates for the developers to submit their programs for approval on Microsoft’s App store. To add an app to Microsoft’s store, developers have to have a valid taxpayer ID and a Windows Live ID, pay $99, and sign an application provider agreement.
Developers can create account in few simple steps:-
- Get a Live ID. Dont have a Live ID? Signing up is easy!
- Sign the application provider agreement
- Create your profile Provide us with personal contact info.
- Provide company information We’ll need your business information, such as tax identification numbers and a bank account to establish your vendor account. This should come from an authorized officer of your company, or the individual bank account holder.
- Pay annual subscription fee Get great benefits for just $99 Plus taxes, if applicable
They can then submit up to five apps a year (more than that will requite a $99 fee per app), which can be free or for sale, and they’ll keep 70% of any revenue. The Windows Marketplace for Mobile will debut in the second half of this year and will offer an over-the-air portal for Windows Mobile users to browse, buy, download, and install apps on their handsets. To get paid a US Tax number is required what may be tricky for non-US citizens ; the form is confusing in this area and we advice developers from outside of USA to start taking care of it now as it may take long time ; if we understand it correctly: non-US developers will have to send W8 form to Microsoft – so not only W8 form must be acquired from USA but then it must be sent to Microsoft.
Microsoft’s mobile app marketplace also will offer a 24-hour period for users to return apps, which is a missing feature in Apple’s store. It’s anticipated that the store will coincide with the launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 in the second half of this year, but it will feature something not found in its Apple, Blackberry and Android competitors: a 24 hour window in which users can return apps.
App store is a big equalizer meaning that even small developers but with good software will be able to achieve big sales – instead of hand picking by corrupted judges and instead of artificial promotions now, at last, meritocracy comes to Windows Mobile.Although more than 20 million Windows Mobile smartphones were sold last year, a lot of the developer interest appears to be moving toward the iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry.
The move from Microsoft could jeopardize its business partners that have been selling, distributing Windows Mobile app for years. We should expect these companies will also make their shopping app available to lure developers and customers to theirs as well.Microsoft also said it was launching a sales and marketing program to help developers, though it didn’t say how large that program will be.
