Should I get a iPod touch 4th generation?

Should I get a iPod touch 4th generation, i have been looking at getting one for a while but i wanted a bit more information:
1) Can you get all the same apps as on the iPhone?
2) How does paying for the apps/internet work?
3) Is it worth waiting for a new one to come out?
4) Is there other Accessories i have to have with it that i buy separately?
5) What is the best memory size to get?
6) I have a contract phone BUT is it worth getting a iPhone?
7) or is it better to get an iPad?

1) generally you can get the apps, but a number of them require the iPod’s 3G or GPS. You can put them on your iPod but they won’t work as they do on the iPhone.

3) since it’s a luxury item, there’s no real way to guage what it’s worth. A new one is likely due in the fall – months from now. Is it worth it to ou to wait? why do you want one? Many multimedia functions – once unique to iPods – are now within the capabilities of many cellphones, and not even smartphones. Do you have such a cellphone (or even an older iPod)? Also, do you have regular access to wifi? If not, that’s a big part of the iPod experience that you’ll miss.

4) there are no accessories you need that it doesn;t come with. The charger and headphones are all you really need. You should get skins and screen covers but they’re not terribly necessary; a wall charger is helpful but I’ve been able to use iPods for years just connecting to my PC. You can download iTunes from Apple’ site.

5) The “best memory size to get” is the one that holds as much of your stuff as you want to carry all at once. My ipod is less than 2/3 full – mostly because it’s a 32gb model I got as a present. I just put everything I want there because I have the room for it. but honestly, my music – all 49 hours of it – takes up 3.5 gb; another 8gb goes to video. Do you want to spend any extra money just so you can carry dozens of hours and hours of music and video when you’ll seldom be more than 10 hours away from your PC?

6) “have a contract phone BUT is it worth getting a iPhone?”
What phone? what service? what are you willing to pay for? what will you have to pay to end your current contract? when is that up?

If your question only gets other questions in response, it’s a sign that you didn’t write it very well.

7) better to get an iPad? for what apps? if you want apps – I’d suggest you just get a netbook. One day, you might want to print to your wireless printer – there’s no tlling if it will be iPad compatible by then.
