Using Blackberry Data plan on Nokia smart phone?? HELP!?
Ok Im on AT&T… we have one line that used to have a blackberry and it still has blackberry data plan on it…. I also have a phone which I like a lot (Nokia E71 unlocked version) it works on at&t’s 3g only…Plus its the same style phone as blackberry (business brick style phone)…..So I put in a sim card with blackberry data plan into my E71 and connected to ATT 3g internet…
will I be charged or the att looking at it like a data plan from blackberry???
Since Im able to use the 3g internet on the same sim that is for blackberry data… is the iternet using the data plan? or will i be charges pay as you go???
What I want is: To use the blackberry data plan on e71 just like I would on a blackberry….

Blackberry Internet Service or BB Plan can only be used with Blackberry device (blackberry phone).
What makes different is the APN (Access Point name) setting.To have internet on every phone they should be set with correct APN.Blackberry phones are always preset with blackberry.net as its APN.Only BB handsets will be allowed to use blackberry.net APN to go internet.It can be so,because RIM (the owner&provider of blackberry.net APN) detect their BB devices through IMEI#.When an IMEI# is detected from non BB device attempting to use blackberry.net APN to access internet,it will be refused.What i really mean is that,paying BB plan is in other word, paying blackberry.net APN.Nokia cannot be set with blackberry.net APN eventhough you can write it on Setting menu.

Unless you have Data Plan,together with the BB plan (which i dont think so),you will be charged payg.

Blackberry Connect.
Aha …, Blackberry Connect (BBC) is maybe the only solving problem you want.It is a software you can download in Nokia website to fit your want.BBC will break that above boundary,i.e to let you have Blackberry push email with a non BB phone.But you only have RUSH Email,..No Blackberry Messenger NO internet browsing.Even if you can browsing internet,it use your provider APN and you will be charged payg.
