Iphone Apps Won’T Start Up

My iPhone won’t connect to my PC? Says “USB NOT RECOGNIZED”?
Everything was fine.
But now… I can’t connect my iPhone to my PC. I’ve tried everything that other sites have said to do.
Most recent version of iTunes installed.
Whenever I connect my iPhone to my PC, it says “USB Not Recognized” and it won’t connect or Charge at all.
But when my battery is dead and I connect it, it charges it, until it’s at about 5%, then the phone starts up, and it stops charging, then when the battery dies, it starts charging again and so on and so forth…
Occasionally (1% of the time) it will connect no problems. Then when I get into iTunes, it tries to Sync, but it says it can’t read the disk on my iPhone. WHAT?? It’s working fine! I can do everything I normally can on my phone, I can download music and apps via iTunes and the AppStore on my iPhone, but I cant’ do a thing through my PC…
I’m getting very frustrated. I can’t charge my phone via my PC, I can’t put new music on there, clear up space etc…
Somebody help!
Buy a mac.
