do you need an iphone to develop iphone apps?
I want to develop iPhone Apps. I already have a Mac computer (My dad said I could use his iMac 10.5 for development) to use and found good tutorials, but I don’t have an iPhone/iPod Touch. Do I need one or both of these to develop an App?
You MAY be able to use the emulator to get started, and do some testing (it really depends on the type of app you are doing). But you should always do testing on the real target (in this case an iPhone), because emulators dont always 100% emulate the real hardware.
They can not make actual calls, or look at the accelerometers, or turn on and off the wifi etc.. For things like this, you NEED the phone!
